Introduction:
One of the smartest,
cleverest, most inspired things I have ever done was calling up the
local junior college and talking the lead aircraft technology instructor
into taking in 270B as a class project. Under the supervision of
this instructor (a very experience AI), the students did about 10k worth
of work on the airplane. I just had to pay for hydraulic fittings,
fasteners and other parts ... which totaled out at about $1700.
These students and their
instructor probably saved the airplane. See the logbook section
for details on all the repairs they made.
