Hull - Lower:

The 270B hull bottom needs repair.  The V shaped keel channel was partially ground away when the nose gear collapsed during an otherwise normal landing.  Apparently this kind of accident had happened at some time long before.  The reason I think this is that the part of the keel channel that was damaged is, upon close examination, actually a patch. I know there was a patch because I actually have the original design drawings and stress analysis notebook for the keel strip assembly.

Here are some photographs. Some of the pictures may have been taken before the A&P student's restoration work.
